After nearly a year of rewriting the site, OTV has finally finished. In that time I wasn’t really supposed to add anything to the site or it’d mess up the database, hence it being quiet.
However
In that time, I haven’t been idle. I have a LOT of new stuff to add and loads of new ideas.
The new site is subscription based, only £10 a year. Why? Because it is just me running this thing and that affects the wallet quite a lot. Other “similar” sites have 6+ people behind the scenes, modifying their cars, paying for the parts. I don’t earn the equivalent of 6 people’s wages. All the money (minus the tax I’ll have to pay) will go back into buying parts for research and adding info to the website.
In return you will get access to a site that has been helping people for nearly 10 years and is the go-to site for most of your smart problems and ideas. Yes, a lot of the info is available elsewhere now, that’s because people read the site, remember, reuse and recite. Hopefully this new system will reduce the amount of information that gets reused. I want to be able to help the people that help me (to help you).
I’m not sure what the other sites are going to use for “inspiration” now they can’t just copy it from here.
Signing up is easy, click the sign up button in the top right, fill out your details and you will be sent a password. Log in to the site with your email address and supplied password. In the top right you will see a key and lock icon, click that and on the main page you have the chance to change your password and to pay for your membership through PayPal.
You don’t need a PayPal account to pay with a card through PayPal. We don’t take cash, cheques (checks) or bitcoins.
OTV is just sorting out an issue with a few photos then I’ll start adding new pages of info.
