*Something* Doesn’t Work

Either the door doesn’t close, stay closed, open, lock or unlock. These are all problems with the door catch.

Single Unit

Unlike the 450 which has a separate door closure switch and separate solenoid, the Roadster is a single unit. So, if it fails, there is no fitting new parts. You have to fit a new catch with integrated switch and solenoid.

Removing The Door Catch Mechanism

Remove the exterior door panel and look at the back edge of the door. Pop out the covers and remove the 3x Torx30 bolts hidden underneath.
