Volume
Turn the volume knob to adjust the volume.
The display will show:
>>VOL 00<< to >>VOL 46<<
Bass
Press the tone button twice.
The display shows:
>>BASS -14<< to >>BASS +14<<
Pressing the track up and down button changes the settings.
To end the changes press the tone button four times or press nothing for six seconds.
Treble
Press the tone button once.
The display shows:
>>TREB -14<< to >>TREB +14<<
Pressing the track up and down button changes the settings.
To end the changes press the tone button three times or press nothing for six seconds.
Balance
Press the tone button three times.
The display shows:
>>BAL <31<< to >>L—R<< to >>BAL31><<
Pressing the track up and down button changes the settings.
To end the changes press the tone button two times or press nothing for six seconds.
Loudness
This setting increases the low frequencies at low volume.
Press the tone button four times.
The display shows:
>>LOUD ON<< or >>LOUD OFF<<
To end the changes press the tone button one time or press nothing for six seconds.
Sound Package
If you have the sound package you can store four sound settings on the station buttons.
Storing The Settings
Adjust the bass, treble, balance and loudness to suit your taste,
While in the sound settings press and hold one of the channel buttons (1 to 4) until you hear a beep, the display will show >>SOUND 1<< to >>SOUND 4<<.
The sound settings will be stored.
To retrieve the settings, press the tone button once and press the station button relating to the sound setting you want to recall.
Activating The Sound Upgrade
If you have the radio or cassette stereo, make sure you have the sound upgrade chip installed in it. The chip is pushed into the top of the stereo while it is out. Have a look here.
The CD stereo already comes with an integrated chip. Press and hold the music symbol button whilst turning the unit on.
Continue to hold the music button until SOUND ON or OFF is displayed. Repeat to toggle the feature. Obviously you want ‘sound on’.
