If you want to fit a rear facing baby seat to the passenger seat of your fortwo, you should turn off the airbag. If you have seat side airbags, you’ll have to turn off the passenger airbags for both forward and rearward facing baby seats. Open the passenger door and look on the side of the dashboard.

To turn the passenger airbag off, push the switch in, turn it a quarter turn anticlockwise and then release. The passenger airbag will be off when you start the car.
