453 Horn Doesn’t Work

This is a new one that’s appearing more regularly on the 453. What confused me was that most people also had issues with their headlights in some way. So, I took a long look at the terrible wiring diagrams for the 453 to see if I could find a cross over.

I was surprised at what I found. Then I realised we are dealing with Renault (French) wiring. Then I wasn’t surprised at all. Jeez, what a clusterfuck. What idiot designed it?

Initial Checks

Fuses

Check the following fuses. 7, 20, 30, 34 and 35

Relay

Check relay K6 on the main fusebox (F2) behind the dashboard.
