Paul D contacted me to say that Lidl are selling an oil removal pump for only £4.99.
Try this link although it might not work as their site is cookie based.
There are a few downsides to this pump.
1- You have to actually find a Lidl store.
2- A store that actually sells this pump.
3- A Lidl store that has them in stock.
4- Lidl rarely sell anything for more than a fortnight so be quick if you want one.
5- The tank only holds 1.5 litres.
6- The tube looks to be too wide to fit down the dip stick tube.
The upsides are as follows.
1- Cheap.
2- Better than tipping your car upside down to get the oil out.
3- Better than the £10 oil removal pumps on Ebay.
4- Can be used on other fluids.
