I had received many questions regarding the fitting of both the Forge dump valve and the Forge intercooler pipes at the same time. It was possible but involved the cutting of both pipes and using a pipe joiner. Not an ideal situation considering the boost pressures. The obvious choice was to get the guys at Forge to make an all in 1 IC pipe with a DV take off, they were happy to oblige, as they always are when I send them my ideas.

An original pipe was sent to them with the dimensions and the layout position of the DV outlet. After the first test one was sent, a couple of changes were made to make it perfect and here it is.

All 3 legs are slightly long on purpose, this allows you to trim each end to fit your car perfectly.

I trimmed 1 inch off each and made the DV leg as short as possible. Cutting is easy using a sharp rigid blade, using the hose clip as a cutting guide. As you can see, the DV sits between the ECU and the IC fan motor and touches neither.

Route the cables and pipes over the top and you are done fitting the main pipe. You just have to connect the vacuum pipe using a small piece to the fuel pressure regulator. (all supplied in the DV kit).

As expected, the pipe design is spot on and the 4 ply construction is superb. This can be bought by clicking this link to Forge Motorsport.

Using this pipe and DV will be easier, cheaper and tidier than using the separates.

This one was test fitted to a 700cc Fortwo but the Roadster actually has a bit more room to play with. One thing worth mentioning is that if you have the PiperCross Venom or Viper enclosed air filters on your Fortwo, you won’t have enough room to fit this as the ECU is relocated further right.

There is no such problem on the Roadster as the ECU is usually relocated to the left of the filter.
