Here is the kit as supplied by Smartarse Design (no longer trading). You can try contacting Janspeed.
This is the standard layout.
Top pipe from intercooler to inlet manifold.
Top pipe has been removed.
Lower pipe, here is the connection to intercooler.
Lower pipe, here is the connection to the turbo outlet.
Lower pipe has been removed.
New lower pipe assembled for fitting.
New lower pipe in place.
New top pipe assembled for fitting.
New top pipe in place.
Job done!
To quote S2TinyFlier ‘Certainly feels as if the pick up is much sharper.
The diameter of the lower pipe in particular is much larger than the standard plastic (oddly shaped!) unit so airflow is undoubtedly much improved’.
The Bad Points
In the year that these have become available, Janspeed have routinely increased their price forcing Smartarse Design to increase theirs to cover the cost.
Originally they retailed for £69.99 but due to Janspeed’s price increase they are now £105 plus postage and packaging. Personally I think the price has stepped over the boundary. I hope that Smartarse tells Janspeed to stick it and finds an alternative manufacturer.
