If you suffer from hayfever there is a good chance this will interest you. The smart pollen filter isn’t always fitted as standard and if you fit one it should be changed yearly.
The smart pollen filter should not be cleaned, only replaced.The first job is to purchase the new filter from smart, you may find a cheap one on Ebay. Remove the front section of the car (not totally necessary, see later), this information can be found here.

Look over to the left where the windscreen squirter fill-up pipe is located, the top of the tube is clipped onto a black cover. Behind this black cover is where the the filter lives.

On the top of the black box it clearly states ‘Danger’ and ‘Engine Off’. This warning should be adhered to as you could easily get sucked in the hole and become trapped. OK, that’s not true. The windscreen wiper mechanism could easily bite your fingers off.
